Nickea's ☆☆☆☆ Star Review of Vincent by Sarah Brianne

Vincent was not at all what i thought it was going to be. I love Sarah and i love her work but i was expecting more or the anticipation towards this book made me hope for something more. Either way i still loved it. Vincent's book reminded me a lot of Nero's. Vincent is the bad ass mafioso trying to work his way up through the ranks just like his best friends Amo and Nero. He is similar to Nero in so many way except he is a known man whore. For a guy in high school its amazing that he was about the sleep with so many of his classmates moms. Well remember in Nero the whole fight scene at the club where Vincent finds his sister and her friend in the club and the boys flip their shits. Start a fight and beat their victims to a pulp. Well Vincent has had eyes for his sisters friend Lake ever since then. Lake wants out the life. Her father is a solider in the Caurso family army and she wants nothing to do with the mod and its made men. And her mother and stepfather, and step sister are a complete nightmare too. Her life is not perfect at all and i can see why she would want to get away as quickly as possible. As soon as its time for college she plans to get as far from Kansas City as she can. That plan goes to hell when her father calls her telling her to run. She knows her father is into the Caurso family for money because he has a gambling problem. So Lake takes it upon herself to help her father. Lake to me was brave but stupid. She had no respect for the mob that ran her entire city. She didnt know her place. In the end she saves her father from is death by taking on his debt which leave her serving drinks in her underwear. Vincent finds out she's working in the underground club and flips over it. He likes her and there is no way he wants her down there with all the scummy men. The story only gets better as Lake and Vincent try to navigate there new relationship together. Lake needs to learn how to respect Made Men and Vincent really needs to teach her some manners. I kept waiting for Vincent to put Lake in her place but he never did even though he was considered the crazy one. i kept thinking Nero would not stand for this as i was reading but this is Vincent's story and not Nero's Like all Sarah's story's the secondary characters are always important. Lucca, Amo and Chole....wow i cant wait to see what is going to happen with those three. Nero oh how i love Nero. i wouldn't mind a second book with him and Maira the Princess of the Caurso family should also have a book because she is one badass bitch!!! Oh and it was nice of her to take a trip down to visit Slade and the boys from her mom's MC books. I thought that part was really cute too. Yes so this book has it all! Angst, intrigue, comedy, sex, and the mafia! I love it and i cant wait to read the next one!
