Incinerate by Tessa Teevan

This is the second book in the series, however, it’s the first book I’ve read and I have to say that I’ll definitely being going back and reading book 1! Knox is a Marine who, at the beginning of the book, is hurt in an explosion and wakes up 3 weeks later in a hospital bed with an extensive amount of injuries. Knox doesn’t believe in love after the woman he thought he loved left him for his brother. When Knox wakes up in the hospital, his other brother Cohen is there and plans to stick around for a while and help Knox out. When Cohen gets pulled back to college for finals he reaches out to a volunteer agency for Knox and they’re told, to Knox’s dismay, that “Charlie” will be helping him out.

Charlotte (Charlie) goes out to a bar the night before her volunteer assignment begins and is instantly attracted to the “rugged man” across the bar. When he approaches the bar for a drink she tries to get up the nerve to talk to him but before she can utter so much as her name he shuts her down… then next morning when Knox answers his front door both he and Charlie are extremely confused and surprised to see each other again.

This is a catchy story, I couldn’t put it down once I started reading it. Charlie is hilarious and I love how tough she is and that she doesn’t take crap from any of the guys especially Knox. It’s well written and the characters are all relatable and well developed. I look forward to reading more from this author. Can’t wait for the next installment!
