Lee Anne's 4 Star Review of:

Unacceptable by Kristen Hope Mazzola

Loved this read! I’m not usually a fan of the “step” romance but this book is fantastic! Cricket’s father left her mother when she was very young – from what Cricket heard her father attempted to take her with him but when her mother intervened he left, Cricket believes he’s never looked back. Now many years later, Cricket has been living with her whore mom and decides she’s had enough – she has one letter from her dad with a town states over listed on the return address and that’s where she decides to go. Arriving in the town she comes across a bar and the oh-so sexy, Abel. She doesn’t realize, until after they’ve began a relationship, that he’s her step-brother.

I really enjoyed the twists and turns of this book. It’s not your typical read and the plot was very original. I liked the way that Cricket’s character developed throughout the book, she goes from a child seeking a parent to a woman discovering love. It’s a short read that I highly recommend.
